The Mitsubishi car range are packed full of Active Safety Systems, which is technology that assists in the prevention of a crash. 

Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS)

ABS is an active safety system which can help a driver avoid obstacles and a collision during heavy braking or while braking on slippery road surfaces. It prevents the wheels from locking up under heavy braking or while braking on slippery road surfaces, thereby allowing the driver to maintain steering control and steer around potential obstructions and/or avoid collisions. 

Active Cornering Lights (ACL)

ACL provides support for night driving by additionally illuminating the direction in which the vehicle is moving in accordance with the steering angle. 35W halogen bulbs are used in the cornering lights. 

Active Stability and Traction Control (ASC)

Active Stability and Traction Control helps drivers maintain control in adverse driving conditions and during emergency maneuvers. It constantly monitors available traction and alerts the control unit, which works with the vehicle’s anti-lock braking system to counteract slipping or loss of control by applying the brakes on specific wheels to help keep the vehicle moving in the intended direction. 

e-Assist

e-Assist is a new active safety system that uses millimeter-wavelength radar as well as a camera to further increase driving safety and peace of mind. it comprises of three functions such as:

  • Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM)

  • Lane Departure Warning System (LDW)

  • Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC)

Tips on U-Turn and Three Point Turn

U-Turn along the divider 

  1. Always stay in the left most lane.
  2. Slow down and make sure to know that no one is in your way.
  3. Since the U-turn is 180-degree turn the wheel almost all the way depending on the medium. If the medium is narrow turn the wheel completely, and if the medium is wider turn a bit less.
  4. Now the most important are always look at where you want to go.
  5. And at final to make it easier, just make the wheel to slide between your hands while accelerating. So that the wheel restricts themselves to move smoothly.

Three Point Over

  1. First, to make space to your left move the vehicle to the right and slow down the vehicle.
  2. Do the verification that there is no approaching vehicle either from front or back. As we will be crossing in the two-way street.
  3. Turn the Steering wheel completely till it blocks.
  4. If the turn did not happen in a single attempt, do verification again and take the reverse by turning the steering wheel completely to the right.
  5. Then turn the wheel to the left completely and keep on going till the car is straight.

Above all this, before taking a U-Turn be aware of signs prohibiting them.

Safety

Active Safety Technology helps the driver prevent accidents by supporting his or her ability to predict and avoid hazards through visual and auditory alerts. Pre-Collision Safety Technology helps reduce the severity of a collision when one becomes unavoidable. The passive Safety Technology includes the rigid SKYACTIV-Body with ring structure, seatbelt with pretensioner and load limiter, anti-intrusion brake pedal, SRS Airbag Systems, and more. 

The Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) reduces accidents and congestion by receiving and transmitting information about the location of pedestrians and other cars, then relaying it to drivers. Although it is not yet available, they continue to invest in this technology in the hope of one day making accidents a thing of the past.

Design

The K900’s exterior design displays a certain amount of heft and maturity – it doesn’t attempt to appear windswept or sporty, aiming instead for a more conservative look. The Kia Design Team blended the features such as world-class wheelbase, prestige distance, sweeping shoulder line that gives the K900 its athletic bearing and confident stance.

Performance 

Kia continues to offer the K900 in three trims with a choice of two engines such as a 311-horsepower, 3.8-liter V6 and a 5.0-liter V8 that cranks out 420 horsepower. Fuel-economy figures stand at 15 mpg city, 23 highway, and 18 combined.

Safety

The 2017 K900 continues to offer full range of standard safety features, such as full-length side-curtain airbags, hill-start assist, and traction control. The Luxury V8 trim adds a surround-view monitor, while optional safety equipment includes a head-up display, advanced smart cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking.

90 Degree Reverse Parking

 

1. Slow down:

Safety first, we don’t want any accidents! Keep the speed of your vehicle down to a slow walking pace. This will enable you to see pedestrians walking in front or behind your vehicle.


2. Observation:

Just like step one, take a good look around you to make sure it is safe to move.


3. Turning Position:

Reverse slowly until the first white line of your chosen bay is in line with the top of your back seat, checking your position through the passenger door window.


4. Steer:

Steer full lock to the left (or the right, if you are reversing into a space on the right) as you reverse the car slowly and smoothly into the bay.


5. Straighten up:

As the car becomes straight, you want to get it parallel with the white lines, so straighten your steering as appropriate so you end up in a central position.

Car Seat Safety..!

1. Wear a diagonal belt across the upper chest:

Drivers often complain that this strap is uncomfortable, and they sometimes slip this behind their backs. However, when you do this, the belt’s ability to protect you from injury is decreased.


2.  Adjust the lower strap:

This belt is designed to distribute force to the pelvic area and needs to sit properly on the upper thigh to accomplish this goal.


3.  Maneuver the position of the seat itself:

The farther a driver is sitting from the dashboard, typically the safer he is in the case of a collision. Move the handle or knob on the side of your seat to move the seat forward, backward, upward or downward, so it is a comfortable distance from the steering wheel, so you can see well out of all windows and so the seat belt is comfortable.


4. Sit up straight in your seat:

Slouching or leaning in the seat can cause the seat belt to rest improperly on the body. By sitting all the way back in the seat, the belts will sit on the correct areas of the body.


5. Click the seat belt latch into place by sliding:

You should hear a click. Test that the belt is secure by tugging on it. If the belt doesn’t come unlatched, the seat belt is secure.

Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV

The Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV is a next-generation full-size SUV with full-time 4WD. It is based on a front engine, rear-wheel drive layout plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV) system comprising a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged MIVEC engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It features Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s (MMC) active safety technologies and the advanced “connected car” technology that utilizes next-generation information systems.

Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV

The Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV is a next-generation compact SUV developed to take driving pleasure to new levels. Mitsubishi Concept AR

Environmental Technology of Mazda!!!

Idling Stop Technology

Idling stop systems save fuel by automatically shutting down the engine when the vehicle is static and restarting it when the vehicle returns to motion. This Technology of Mazda improves fuel economy by approximately eight percent. Mazda’s i-stop restarts the engine through combustion. 

This technology enables the system to restart the engine with exactly the same timing every time, to enhance fuel economy, and to deliver smooth and comfortable acceleration for the driver at restart. The restart takes place in a mere 0.35 seconds, which is about half of the time taken by conventional starter-motor idling stop systems. 

Brake Energy Regeneration System

Brake energy regeneration systems convert a vehicle’s kinetic energy into electricity as the car decelerates. The electricity is then stored for later use. It can be used to power the headlights, climate control, audio system, or any other electrical equipment. This reduces the need for the engine to burn extra fuel in order to generate electricity, and thereby improves fuel economy. 

Electric Vehicle

Mazda undertook development of electric vehicles with the aim of offering all our customers fun-to-drive performance and outstanding environmental and safety performance. The result is the Demio EV which offers both the sporty driving people expect from Mazda and a remarkable driving range of 200 km. 

Electric vehicles have batteries and electric motors instead of engines and fuel tanks, and are powered entirely by electricity. The Demio EV features a unique coil-switching motor which delivers both high torque and high RPMs. Another special feature of electric vehicles is the quietude of the cabin due to the complete lack of engine noise.

Hydrogen Vehicle

Mazda’s hydrogen rotary engine use hydrogen as its fuel, emits no CO2 and offers superb environmental performance. A dual-fuel system allows the vehicle to run on either gasoline or hydrogen. The RENESIS hydrogen rotary engine employs direct injection, with an electronically-controlled hydrogen gas injector.

The Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid combines Mazda’s hydrogen rotary engine with a hybrid system for significantly improved performance and practicality. The engine’s reduced intake/exhaust resistance and improved combustion efficiency yields high power output across a wide range of engine speeds.

Bio-based Engineering Plastic

Bio-based Engineering Plastic that can reduce its impact on the environment featuring high-quality finish made from plant derived materials. Mazda has succeeded in developing the automotive industry’s first high-strength heat-resistant plant-derived bioplastic for auto interior parts, and the world’s first biofabric for vehicle seat upholstery made entirely from plant-derived fiber.

This bio-based engineering plastic is used for the first time for interior parts for the all-new Mazda MX-5 was launched globally in 2015. Moving forward, it will be used for exterior parts in other production models due to the outstanding durability.
