How Often Should You Wash Your Car?

How diligent are you when it comes to washing your car? Do you take it in for a proper clean and wax every week without fail, or wait until the dirt becomes too dire to ignore?

One of the easiest ways to protect the value of your vehicle is by washing your car on a regular basis.

Let us look at few tips which helps you to protect the value of your vehicle.

Avoid washing your car in direct sunlight or on a hot day: The most sensible thing to do if you have to wash your car in direct sunlight or a hot climate is to wash it earlier in the morning before the heat of the sun begins.

Begin by hosing the entire auto down: Get the entire auto wet to unstick any surface-level soil and to expel mud and grime from the wheels.

Glove: Lambswool works best here, as anything excessively rough will harm the paintwork. Get the auto dry with a chamois, however recall to be delicate.

Polish: Not to utilize metal shine on non-metal surfaces and recall to dependably take after the maker’s directions on the item. Utilize your plastic shine to perfect and clean your headlights, markers, and brake lights.

Clean the windows: Spray your chosen cleaner onto the window, Using a microfiber cloth wipe clean using an up and down motion, then a side to side motion.Wipe dry with a clean . Remove as much wetness as possible to leave your glass without streaks Don’t forget to roll down the side windows halfway to clean the upper edges.

“The Most Efficient Engine” – Homogenous Charge Compression Ignition engine

As all of us know that there are two types of gas powered engines:

  1. Gasoline Engine: Fuel is mixed with air, compressed by pistons and ignited by sparks from spark plugs.
  2. Diesel Engine: Air is compressed first, and then the fuel is injected. Because air heats up when it’s compressed, the fuel ignites.

They are both Internal Combustion Engines designed to convert the chemical energy available in fuel into mechanical energy.

Now, we have a third type of engine and it’s called a Homogenous Charge Compression Ignition engine, or HCCI for short.

How Does HCCI Work?

An HCCI engine is based on the same four strokes, but there’s simultaneous combustion of air and fuel and it’s spread through a homogenous mixture of the two. Both air and fuel are evenly pulled into the cylinder, and it’s all ignited by way of compression instead of through a spark, just like in a diesel engine.

This leads to lower combustion temperatures, which in turn, gives improved emissions and a More Efficient Engine.

Advantages of HCCI:

  • Lean combustion returns 15 percent increase in fuel efficiency over a conventional spark ignition engine.
  • Cleaner combustion and lower emissions (especially NOx) than a conventional spark ignition engine.
  • Compatible with gasoline as well as E85 (ethanol) fuel.
  • Fuel is burned quicker and at lower temperatures, reducing heat energy loss compared to a conventional spark engine.
  • Throttleless induction system eliminates frictional pumping losses incurred in traditional (throttle body) spark engines.

Disadvantages of HCCI:

  • It revolves around the balance of internal temperature. If it’s too cold, it affects the performance of the ignition system. If it’s too hot, engine knock can arise.
  • High cylinder pressures require stronger (and more expensive) engine construction.
  • More limited power range than a conventional spark engine.
  • The many phases of combustion characteristics are difficult (and more expensive) to control.

More about “Dodge Challenger – 2016”

Big and heavy, the 2016 Dodge Challenger offers more touring comfort than other muscle cars.

2016 Dodge Challenger SXT

Of the three Detroit muscle cars currently on the market, the Dodge Challenger is the most faithful to its predecessors in terms of styling, driving dynamics and overall character.

EXTERIOR design:

Exterior design follows patterns from the classic original Challenger, launched back in 1971. Challenger has always been known as the largest, most blocky-looking American muscle car, intensifying its road presence. Revived for 2008, the modern version is more touring coupe than raucous plaything: vigorous but comfortable, delivering a surprisingly supple ride.

Following a freshening for 2015, the new Blacktop Appearance group is available for the 2016 Challenger, with black accents and available Plum Crazy paint. The Hellcat gains Laguna leather. Picking a favourite isn’t easy, with 10 versions available:

  • Challenger SXT.
  • SXT Plus R/T.
  • R/T Plus.
  • R/T Shaker.
  • R/T Plus Shaker.
  • R/T Scat Pack.
  • 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker.
  • SRT 392.
  • The SRT Hellcat. The customization option means no two Challengers are exactly alike.

INTERIOR Features:

The spacious front seats feel like they belong in a luxury car: soft yet supportive, though thinner occupants might lack side support. The driver faces a modern dashboard, filled with soft-touch surfaces and a contemporary instrument cluster, with a simple interface.

Of the three retro American muscle coupes, the Challenger is the only coupe to seat five. The V6-powered SXT model comes standard with keyless entry, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps, automatic headlights, heated door mirrors, a bright chrome fuel filler door, tinted windows, a double-bulge hood with functional air vents, a soft-touch dash, a 5.0-inch touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity and 18-inch alloy wheels.

At 16.2 cubic feet, the space in the trunk is larger than those of some midsize sedans.

Option Packages:

Dodge offers the Challenger with several option packages. Some of the highlights include the R/T Classic package that bundles Nappa-upholstered sport seats, R/T stripes on the side, HID headlights and polished forged aluminum wheels.

The Super Trak Pack Group features cast-aluminum 20-inch wheels, a high-performance steering rack, a track-tuned suspension, Goodyear tires, upgraded brakes, the Dodge Performance Pages software and a 3.07 rear axle ratio.

The Technology Package consists of rain-sensitive wipers, automatic high beams, Forward Collision Warning and Adapative Cruise Control.

2017 – “Jeep Patriot”

“Feeling like a modern, but not as rugged incarnation of the classic ’80s and ’90s Jeep Cherokee, the Jeep Patriot is a simple crossover that makes a decent budget choice”.

The Patriot’s boxy, trim, bold exterior yields a useful interior with good cargo space and rear seatbacks that flip forward easily to make more room. We’ve found entry and exit very easy, thanks to the tall roofline, with plenty of head room front and back.

What is important is the improved driving comfort. There is enough space for five passengers. The seats can optionally be equipped with a heated and covered with leather. It’s a little higher level of equipment. Will enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the illuminated LED light and all necessary equipment. The largest part is focused on the central display.

The Jeep Patriot drives a more like an entry-level small sedan or hatchback than you might expect, but it delivers a higher degree of off-road ability.

The base engine on front-wheel-drive models is a 158-horsepower, 2.0-liter inline-4, while any version equipped with all-wheel drive comes standard with a 172-hp, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder. A 5-speed manual comes standard on the Sport regardless of drive wheels, while a 6-speed automatic is optional with both engines.

Safety and Fuel Economy:

In the government’s test, the Patriot scores four out of five stars, including especially worrisome three-star scores for frontal crash and rollover likelihood. It does, however, earn five stars for side impact per the NHTSA.

City – 20 MPG.
Highway – 25 MPG city.

Key Features and Price:

The Patriot includes cruise control, roof rails, fog lamps, illuminated cupholders, rear-seat heater ducts, tilt steering, cruise control, tinted glass, and an auxiliary input for audio. But air conditioning and power windows and locks are optional, which helps explain the roughly $18,000 base price.
